Dense, deep red colour. The nose is concentrated yet fragrant with dark fruit aromas, complex, focused and very expressive. On the palate again concentration without being heavy. An elegant Pinot Noir with beautiful transparency, excellent structure and tension and very fine tannin support in the finish, reflecting one of our most exciting vintages since 2010.

Tasted over three days this wine deserves to be cellared reaching its full aroma package towards day three. Scents of black berry and black currant woven between barreal spice and mineral nuances. There’s a distinctive sense of place with this wine showcasing a mix of mienral earth and savoury spices along with red berry fruits. Delicious on the palate with fine to moderate textures, taut and youthful mouthfeel delivering ripe chalky tannins then fruit and mineral . A complex and engaging wine with a lovely fine even finish. Best drinking from 2024 through 2034/

27 Sep, 2022 – Gorgeous nose of wild blackberries, raspberries, cloves, sandalwood and bark. Some iodine, too. Sleek and seductive on the palate with very finely integrated tannins. Very attractive saline edge to the wild dark berry fruit. Drink or hold.

The wine shows a dark-red Pinot colour with a beautiful vibrant shine. Its complex, fragrant and seductively poised nose reveals an airy freshness, red berries, some spice and violet notes. In short, this is “elegance pure”. The palate is simply delicious, full of energy and underlying tension with a velvety texture and fine tannin support. There is excellent mid-palate density to the generously proportioned flavours that are both precise and refined. A stylish expression of a potentially very big vintage while preserving the wine’s finer details. |

16 Nov, 2021 – Quite vividly spicy and a little savory, too, this has dried berries, earth, forest wood and roses, as well as subtle, meaty elements. Plenty of spice, too. The palate holds a fleshy core of concentrated red-cherry flavor, together with some raspberry and red plum. This is a silky pinot with savory-tinged flavors that builds weight and tannin through the finish. Drink or hold.

Our FROMM Pinot Noir Cuvee “H” is a thoughtful blend of our individual single vineyard Pinots. Incorporating the qualities of each of these wines into a premium blend (Cuvée) gives us a Pinot that is balanced yet complex; powerful yet elegant. It’s certainly a style that we enjoy drinking.
Our 2017 shows lovely depth of fruit, opening with dark red, blue berries and an underlay of ripe cherries. The aromas then reveal a granite-like minerality, inviting florals, lifting sage herbs and a lick of sweet vanilla spice. The palate is generous with good fruit weight, velvety layered tannins and enhancing, enticing acidity. We built this wine to last but are delighted with its charm and approachability now. Every component complements the other in seamless harmony - rather like a well-rehearsed orchestra. A lovely mix of complexity and finesse adds to the wine’s fineness.

This is a bold, complex and spicy pinot with plenty of ripe dark cherries and red
berries, brash but integrated toasty oak, pomegranate and spices in abundance.
This all leads to a super succulent palate that drives energetic, rich and scintillatingly fresh red-cherry and blood orange flavors long, amid smoothly polished tannins. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
FROMM Pinot Noir Cuvée "H" 2016
Named after our winemaker Hätsch Kalberer, this wine reflects his 25 years of knowledge and understanding of several great Marlborough terroirs. A thoughtful composite of our five individual single vineyard wines, Cuvée “H” expresses a winery signature. It is the best Pinot we feel we can make and represents what we appreciate most in fine Pinot Noir.
Officially released in 2017 at Pinot 2017, the Fromm Pinot Noir Cuvée 'H' 2015 was the first vintage release of this wine.
